University Programme
Actually, only a few Universities in Germany offer courses of studies in nanotechnologies. The first university course „Nanostructure Technology“ with university degree graduate engineer was started in 2000 at the University of Wuerzburg. Meanwhile, this course is continued as Bachelor-Master-Studies. The University of Applied Sciences in Munich offers the master studies „Micro- and Nanotechnology“ and the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg offers since Fall 2008 a new course "Nanotechnology". The University of Regensburg plans to offer a course “Nanoscience” for Fall 2009.
The Cluster Nanotechnologie is engaged to promote the establishment of nanotechnology courses of studies respectively modules with nanotechnology content at the Bavarian universities of applied sciences and at the universities. The cluster offers practical support in this process. Being an interdisciplinary research field covering different sections of sciences and engineering sciences, the nanotechnology can be within a large extent adapted to the local structures at the Universities. The subject nanotechnology attracts school graduates. The University graduates will find excellent job opportunities in the different high technology sectors.
The team members of Nanoinitiative Bayern GmbH as cluster management and the spokesman of the cluster will be most pleased to discuss about the possibilities of new courses of studies.
