SCHOOL VISITS OF THE CLUSTER NANOTECHNOLOGIE
Nanotechnology does in many respects cover subjects from the physics, chemistry and biology classes. High school students, college students and grammar school pupils from all levels show a good apprehension for questions related to nanotechnology and, in general, they are fascinated by the offered possibilities. However, this subject area is not yet a part of the curricula and schoolbooks. Schools do not have available any equipment for the demonstration of experiments.
The school visit programme of the cluster closes this gap. With the NanoShuttle - a car equipped with demonstration experiments - schools in Bavaria are visited by the cluster. A team consisting of two or three employees attends the experiments and presents the subject in form of a presentation and in discussions with teachers and pupils. The visit of the NanoShuttle is free of charge for Bavarian schools.
