The Cluster Nanotechnologie has started it’s activities end of 2006. The cluster’s work is focusing on two main objectives

1. Promotion of nanotechnology applications while interlinking Research and Industrial Applications
2. Stimulation of interest in nanotechnologies of Pupils, Teachers and Students

The office and operative business of the cluster is managed by Nanoinitiative Bayern GmbH . The network association Nanonetz Bayern e.V. has been established to act as open platform for the cluster activities. Cluster spokesman is Prof Dr. Alfred Forchel.
