Network NanoCarbon

The international network
for innovative nanocarbon products

Fraunhofer IPMS

Fraunhofer IPMS is dedicated to applied research and development at the highest international level in the fields of photonic microsystems, microsystems technologies, nanoelectronic technologies and wireless microsystems. Innovative processes and products which are based upon our various technologies can be found in all large markets – such as information and communication technologies, consumer products, automobile technology, semiconductor technology, measurement and medical technology.

For leading edge research, the business unit Center Nanoelectronic Technologies (CNT) uses a broad and flexible tool and process platform on 300 mm wafers. More than 40 industry standard process and analytical equipments are available in a clean room of class 1000. New and innovative functionalities mainly as System-on-Chip are targeted for the integration in existing CMOS platforms. Another field of work is the development of non-volatile memories with the focus on CMOS-compatible ferroelectric materials. Additionally, the powermanagement for energy-autarcic systems is within our scope. Furthermore, state-of-the-art materials and beyond with new material combinations and material composites (e.g. graphene, binary 2D materials, CNTs, …) for sensor or harvester applications are in research and development.
